In the hydrogen energy industrial chain covering four major links: hydrogen production, storage & transportation, refueling and end-use applications, temperature monitoring and thermal management run through the whole process and are critical to ensuring system safety, efficiency and durability. In hydrogen production, the operating temperature of electrolyzers directly determines electrolysis efficiency and electrode service life, requiring real-time and accurate temperature acquisition and feedback on cell stacks via thermocouples, platinum resistance thermometers and other components. In hydrogen storage and transportation, continuous temperature monitoring of cylinders and pipelines is required for high-pressure gaseous hydrogen storage to avoid safety hazards caused by overheating; liquid hydrogen storage and transportation operates at cryogenic conditions around minus 200 degrees Celsius, imposing extremely high requirements on the low-temperature resistance of temperature measuring elements. In hydrogen refueling, temperature monitoring of dispensers, hydrogen storage tanks, unloading columns and other equipment falls under safety interlock control, whereby alarms and process shutdown shall be triggered immediately in case of abnormalities. For end applications, hydrogen fuel cell stacks feature a narrow operating window and high thermal sensitivity, and an efficient thermal management system is a prerequisite for maintaining power generation performance and extending stack lifespan. Besides, hydrogen transmission pipelines and valve stations need supporting heat tracing and thermal insulation to prevent condensation blockage and abnormal temperature drop. Our supplied sheathed thermocouples, high-precision platinum resistance thermometers, special temperature-resistant measuring cables and heating cables deliver integrated solutions ranging from temperature measurement to heat tracing for harsh hydrogen scenarios involving high temperature, ultra-low temperature, strong vibration and other demanding working conditions.
