On July 17, the team of Zhejiang Taishuo Technology visited Yongjiang Laboratory and held a special technical forum with Professor Mi Xiaoyu’s team. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cutting-edge fiber-optic temperature sensing technologies, industrial temperature sensing commercialization, and pathways for research achievement transformation, exploring new models of collaborative innovation via industry-university-research cooperation.
During the visit, Xie Kaifeng, Director of the External Liaison Department of Yongjiang Laboratory, and Teacher Chu Ning accompanied the Taishuo team on a tour of the laboratory’s achievement exhibition corridor. They elaborated on Yongjiang Laboratory’s research positioning and the full-chain innovation system based on Technology Readiness Level (TRL), covering the complete incubation pipeline from fundamental principle research, sample verification and prototype development to large-scale commercialization. They also presented the laboratory’s frontier layout and strengths of research platforms in new materials and optoelectronic sensing.
At the forum, Lu Jiong, Chairman of Taishuo Technology, showcased the company’s core products. He introduced the enterprise’s industrial accumulation in industrial temperature measurement & control, thermal management sensing, sheathed temperature sensing elements and electric heat tracing systems, and shared overseas and domestic project practices as well as on-site engineering pain points in sectors including oil & gas, new energy and high-end equipment. Meanwhile, Professor Mi Xiaoyu’s team from Yongjiang Laboratory presented research achievements in fiber-optic temperature sensing and optoelectronic MEMS sensors, and illustrated the R&D priorities, core technical reserves and application roadmap of sensing chips and distributed fiber-optic temperature sensing devices.
Both sides held thorough discussions on key issues such as the engineering implementation of fiber-optic temperature sensing technology, product reliability optimization, on-site validation and industry standard implementation. They exchanged views on potential cooperation directions including joint technical research, collaborative sample testing, joint application for research projects, and industrialization of scientific outcomes. Taishuo Technology will leverage its mature manufacturing capacity for industrial sensors, overseas marketing channels and engineering supporting advantages, while Yongjiang Laboratory will give full play to its strengths in cutting-edge fundamental research and optoelectronic device R&D platforms. The two parties will jointly streamline the transformation chain from frontier laboratory technologies to mature industrial products, and advance the application of new fiber-optic temperature sensing technologies in energy and industrial thermal management.
This visit and exchange has built a regular communication bridge between the enterprise and the provincial new-type research institution. Going forward, Taishuo Technology will further strengthen ties with Yongjiang Laboratory, focus on technological innovation of advanced temperature sensing, drive the localization and industrialization of high-end temperature sensors through integrated industry-university-research efforts, and keep delivering stable and reliable overall temperature measurement and control solutions for industrial customers at home and abroad.
